The article analyzes causes of dramatic changes in structure of mortality in the world over past 100 years, sums up the experience of major regional projects and national programs carried out in different countries in Europe and North America and preventive measures with proven effectiveness in reducing mortality from non-communicable diseases. We give a list of activities carried out by the executive and legislative branches in Russian Federation, by specialists in medical prophylaxis in last 1,5–2 years, aimed at the prevention of major non-communicable diseases and health promotion. Place of medical prophylaxis in the healthcare system is detailed.
NOTA BENE!
The article is dedicated to prolonged immobilization. Currently there is no common term, definition what is a prolongedimmobilization of patients, there is no tactic to manage such patients. We have tried to draw attention of the medical community to this problem — the results presented in the article are taken as an example of the hospital and clinics of Moscow.
РАЦИОНАЛЬНАЯ ФАРМАКОТЕРАПИЯ
Research on evaluation of clinical symptoms, the level of anxiety and quality of life in 30 patients (23 men, 7 women, mean age 24 ± 4.87 years) with syndrome of autonomic nervous system dysfunction on the background of connective tissue dysplasia. Taking the drug Mexicor for 60 days were significantly corrective action on the autonomic nervous system, which contributed to significant improvement in subjectively assessed clinical status of patients, reducing personal and reactive anxiety, with a significant positive impact on the quality of life of patients with good tolerability.

The aim of the current study was to evaluate the therapeutic effects of omega–3 plant sterol esters (n–3–PSE) on lipid profile and other coronary heart disease risk factors in subjects with mixed hyperlipidemia. N–3–PSE treatment did not result in a significant change in LDL–C levels. Triglyceride levels were reduced significantly in the n–3–PSE group in comparison with the placebo group (p = 0.025). Diastolic blood pressure and level of high-sensitivity C–reactive protein (hsCRP) were reduced significantly, too. So, in patients with mixed hyperlipidemia, n–3–PSE treatment may offer a safe and effective therapy for triglyceride level reduction while avoiding the typical increase in LDL–C levels associated with n–3 fatty acid treatment. The observed reduction in blood pressure and inflammation markers warrants further evaluation. The positive effect of n–3–PSE treatment was preserved at the end of the follow up phase.
The article reviews the influence of connective tissue dysplasia in the formation of vascular wall rigidity on the basis of literature. Substantiates the importance of studying the role and prospects of connective tissue dysplasia in changing the elastic properties of the arteries in the population.
ОБМЕН ОПЫТОМ
The complications caused by the infection are observed among 38–47% of cirrhosis patients and directly provoke death by about a quarter of patients. Infective endocarditis occurs among 0.34–1.33%. The diagnostics of infective endocarditis remains a challenge for general practitioners. This article describes the clinical course of cirrhosis, complicated by endocarditis.
The article represents contemporary data on the illness development mechanisms, the main disease manifestation forms and the treatment methods of the alcoholic liver disease. It also covers the disease progression reasons and the main risk factors.
COMPETITIONS
In this review we present materials reflecting the evolution of ideas about reasons and treatment of peptic ulcer disease. Existing treatment methods don’t fully respond to our demands and expectations. First of all, it’s about a progressive growth of Helicobacter pylori’s resistance to antimicrobial drugs, which leads to the decreasing of the eradication therapy effectiveness. The analysis of historical data shows the possibility of choice of more perspective methods of peptic ulcer disease treatment.
The modern generally accepted occlusive coronarogenic theory of heart disease (CHD) doesn’t satisfy the needs of either science or the public at large. Against the background of critically accumulated data that cannot be explained by this theory, the mortality and death rate caused by different forms of CHD have been growing. Such claims to the dominating concept prove to make one doubt not only the correctness of the concepts related to the essence of CHD but also the adequacy of the basic theoretical directions that laid the foundation of the theory in the last century. The paper both criticizes some outdated basic notions and presents the new concept of CHD based on the method of system analysis in the form of the theory of functional system with all the ensuing consequences.
